Dangerous Supply Chain Myths (Part 1) Revisited Wednesday, June 18, 2008 As with any well researched article that is offered up for public review (and scrutiny), one can never really anticipate the ultimate reaction and therefore impact a particular piece will have on its readers. In fact to be truly effective and meaningful, the predalictions of a mass audience while understood, have to become secondary to the core principles being presented. In essence writing is not a popularity contest, but an exercise in providing both a different and unique lens through which a particular subject or circumstance can be seen regardless of the vagaries governing popular opinion. This was certainly the case when I chose to review and in many instances constructively (at least I hope it was viewed as being constructive) critize the findings of the paper Succeeding in a Dynamic World: Supply Management in the Decade Ahead.
