I would like to ask if anyone knew of a good contact or source of advice - I am moving to France within the next 12 months, permanently, and would like to ensure that our domestic arrangements are sorted before we go.

Specifically, the Tontine Clause is causing us to hesitate - as although I am not overly concerned with family issues, the Tontine Clause takes the whole area of inheritance and leaving a legacy out from the hands of those with the assets, and seems to ignore the rights or wishes of the owner of the assets.

Anyone know of this French legal issue and can point me in the right direction? I am a Scot, living in Ireland
