Can we manage stress? Wednesday, March 4, 2009 Stress is not coming from outside. Stress is our reaction to a situation. If we don't want stress, what do we want? What is it that we really want instead? Is it peace, calm, joy, focus??? As long as we focus on what we don't want, we generate more of the same. All the tricks and tips about stress management (eat healthy, have exercise, don't abuse coffee, alcohol, sleep well...) can help but if it does not start with being back in touch with our inner power, it does not work. We need to change our believes about ourselves, about how we react to events and situations. Most of our stress is connected to negative believes that we keep consciously or not in deep drawers of our mind. If we believe that our stress is coming from outside, we have no power and we are a sort of victim. Usually, we will be irritable and aggressive towards other drivers for example when we are not in peace with ourselves: if we are frustrated and unhappy. When it is a good day and we are happy, our reaction is so different. ... |
The realist and the optimist Wednesday, January 28, 2009 Story in 1 chapter 2 people are walking on a little route in the midle of the beautiful countryside. They're sharing there views on the landscape. One of them is telling how beatiful it is and how lucky they are to be in such a beautiful environment. The other one, tired of listening to those comments starts talking and says: « You're such an optimist. You're an idealist. It's all gray and dusty, there's almost no life. How can you tell me that it is beautiful? » Moral of this story: The second person is looking down on the walkway and the other one is looking up and enjoys the landscape. Question: Would it be possible that in fact realists and optimists are not looking or not seing the same things? Little story from an optimist very interested in the realists... |
New resolutions or old patterns? Thursday, January 8, 2009 New Year is the opportunity to start fresh. What can we change in our life to get a different result? If today’s reality is the result of what we projected mentally in the past, do we get now what we really want? If not, how should we see our future to have a good chance to see it happen the right way? We are creating our future and because of the law of attraction, we attract what we have in mind most of the time. If we spend our days moaning, complaining, gossiping, that’s what we attract in our life. If we are careful and try to focus on what we want rather than what we don’t want, we have better chances to attract a positive future. More of the same will never bring a different result so, are we ready to change something to get a different result? |
The power of visualization Thursday, November 6, 2008 You can be in the tube or the bus and go for an inner trip in the deep regions of your imagination. In Japan, they have what they call Forest Therapy to fight the urban stress. They bring people in forest to recharge and relax. Simply imagine that you are walking in a fantastic forest. You decide if you are walking on a path or not, how wide it is, the kind of weather, the season, the kind of forest… You then make contact with each of your senses. You visualize the surrounding, the silence, the birds singing, the smell of moss, how it feels under your feet… You can spend your all trip in a much better place. You can just cool down, relax and enjoy an intimate moment with yourself in the comfort of your inner world. Just try it and enjoy. Jackie Velez Systems & Data Analyst, Thomson Reuters |
A day to remember Wednesday, November 5, 2008 Today is great day for humanity, a great day for all the believers in the world and a great opportunity for the “realists” to change their mind. When you believe, despite what people say, you create the space for this dream to happen. It is true for America today, it is true for Human specie and it is true for all of us individually. Nobody can believe on your behalf. It is your responsibility and your inner treasure. If you believe, you will start to see the world changing around you. If we are numerous enough, we will see the world changing all over the planet. So what hope do you carry in your heart, what dream do you want to see become true? Start now and believe in it. If you don’t you let sleep the most precious energy of the world. Believe and it will happen. |

What does it mean to be taking your time? Wednesday, October 1, 2008 Well just what it says. It means to take it. You take the bus, you take advantage and to take your time. So don’t run after it, don’t waste it but take it. To bark or not to bark, that is the question Saturday, September 27, 2008 Most of aggressive behaviors are the expression of frustration, unhappiness and some kind of misery. When you have such a person beside you in the train, in the bus or driving a car on the road, you have the choice of answer. You can be aggressive back, you can start your day accordingly to this person and spread anger around you later at the office. You can as well look at this person with compassion or at least awareness of what's happening. You can ignore the fact and stay away not to contribute with your own frustration. I am not saying that it is easy to change reaction and to have control. The fact is that if you can not control the person around you, you have the choice and power to control yourself. |
How will Human Kind become Kind Human? Thursday, September 4, 2008 Every day is a new day, a new opportunity to try again, to do better, to share more of the best and let go of the dirt. Every day is a new chance to not do the same and not repeat what we wanted to change yesterday. Today is a real opportunity. Every minute of this white page will be our responsibility and our achievement tonight when we’ll go to bed. The world today is the result of all those individual energies, actions and decisions. Gandhi said: “You must be the change you want to see in the world”. |
Contribute to a more civilized urban jungle Friday, August 29, 2008 Have you noticed how often you give way driving, you give way at a shop door, you give way on the pavement and you are not even acknowledge or even of course thanked? Please say thank you to them. Say thank you. Acknowledge the fact that they honor you in accepting you to give them way… Come on, we are born to give way to this superior specie of people in the urban jungle that assume that it’s normal to give them way and wait for their highness to pass. Let contribute to make this place a more civilized place and let thank them systematically. I do this all the time and sometimes, I find a light in the bottom of their eye, telling me either, “WHOTTT?” or “why does he thank me?”, or “…”!!! The worse that could happen is for people who normally thank and act in a civilized way, smile and give way to stop doing it. As Gandhi said, “an eye for an eye will make the whole world go blind”. |

Is happiness contagious? Thursday, August 7, 2008 What do you think? If the answer is yes, are you helping others to be happy in their life? Are you spreading happiness around you with your good mood and do you think that it helps others to be happier? If the answer is no, do you have people around you who do spread happiness and does it help you being happier? It is all in our hands about having a good day or not. |
Morning rush? Friday, July 11, 2008 Our perception of time is very subjective. What time do you wake up in the morning? Do you have to rush in the morning? What an awful way to start your day. Think about it. What would happen if you would wake up half an hour earlier? You would feel tired? You would not sleep enough? In fact, waking up earlier, you would have quality time in the morning, you would not have to rush, you would be calmer and so not wasting so much energy drained into stress. Early morning is the best time of the day to prepare your day to have a good one as you prepare your bed to have a good night. Think about it and why not give it a try? Matin chagrin? |
Are we ready for a special day today? Thursday, July 3, 2008 Are we ready to make this day a special day? Will we let events or people decide if it is a good day? Are we going to make everything possible to enjoy and honor this day as a special day, like another day alive?
