First Responder Vendor Outreach Forum – Qualify Opportunities Tuesday, September 30, 2008 Deputy Chief Susan O’Sullivan to Keynote First Responder Vendor Outreach Forum – Qualify Opportunities at Boardroom meetings with Key Buyers Deputy Chief Susan O’Sullivan with the Ottawa Police Service has confirmed that she will keynote at CATA’s unique First Responder Vendor Outreach Forum on Oct. 8 and 9 in Toronto where Executive Boardroom meetings with some of Canada’s technology procurement decision-makers are being provided to attendees. Deputy O’Sullivan, a former advisor to the Auditor General of Canada on National Security in Canada and a well-known leader in the police community will provide an overview of a tri-government initiative - Operation Intersect. Operation Intersect works to mitigate the effects of threats in a manner that enhances public safety and awareness during times of instability and uncertainty. New CIO Leadership Award (June 10 Gala, nominatinos open) Wednesday, January 23, 2008 OTTAWA, January 23, 2008 - CATAAlliance, Canada's largest high technology association announced today the creation of a new Deloitte & Touche Chief Information Officers (CIO) Leadership Award. The new Award will recognize CIOs, or those in equivalent positions, who have shown excellence in managing their organization's enterprise-wide information systems, yielding the greatest returns to their enterprises. Winners will be selected for two categories: SME business (under 150 employees), and large corporations (more than 150 employees).
