Remember....Remember... the 5th of November! Monday, November 5, 2007 If you haven't heard about it yet, tonight is Bonfire Night! Night in commemoration of the failure of "the Gunpowder Plot" dating from 1605. The Roman Catholic Guy Fawkes was caught on the 5th November with some gunpowder barrels within the House of Parliament and arrested with other conspirators in the attempt to blow it up. Glasgow celebrates this night with fireworks, music, lights and even a funfair to attract the youngests (from 5pm to 10pm). The fireworks will start at 7.30pm. The weather forecast for tonight are said to be good, so let's grab a coat and head to Glasgow Green (East End of the city) where everything happens. So lets have fun tonight! And Don't forget to leave your comments later on!!! Julie |
