Yann Dietrich

I am the Intel's IP attorney for EMEA, based in UK, especially in charge of IP and Standards policy matters, as well as others IP related matters in EMEA. I am representing Intel in European standards organisations such as ETSI and DVB, as well as trade associations, and have been elected as chairman of the IPR group of EICTA, the European ICT Industry Association.

Formerly, I managed the France Telecom/Orange team of licensing counsels and I have especially contributed to the turbocodes licensing program and the strategic partnerships campaign initiated by the CEO of this company. Previously, I have been in charge of IP in a public reseach organization, and have worked in a patent law firm representing pharmaceutical companies about technology licensing and trademark/domain names matters.

I have also contributed to the creation of several standards initiatives (homegateway initiative, LiPS forum...), and have participated to the IPR work of international standards organizations (ITU-T, Open Mobile Alliance, etc.)

I teach IP and licensing in two French universities and in UK as well. I am the author of several articles about IP/IT law (domain names, Y2K, antitrust law and distribution over Internet ) in different newspapers and law journals, such as Les Echos, Lamy droit de l'informatique...
