WORK EXPERIENCE

2005-2006 Crown (Division Speciality Plastics) now Global Closures Systems (Wantage, England)
I am currently working in a Quality and Manufacturing Team as WCP engineer (World Class Performance). I have to manage projects in the plants of the division all over Europe, particularly in France and in the UK. The main projects I have been involved in are:
q Cost analysis of a new layout of a production line using 4 criteria: energy, maintenance, quality, transport and labour.
q Analysis of the productivity of a line whose OEE level was around 60% as well as supporting the production manager to improve the existing process (workflow, ideal parameters).
q Quality support and development of best practices between the plants





2004 – 5 months Final Year Project
Design and manufacturing of Orthopaedic prosthetics, FOURNITURES HOSPITALIERES INDUSTRIE (Quimper, FRANCE)
Development of a control system vision (product identification with video cameras)
I managed the project from the feasibility study to the realization of a prototype, within the quality constraints related to clean room use (EN 46001)
q Test of materials (cameras, objectives, lightings)
q Mechanical design of a base (Solidworks)
q Data processing development (Matlab)
q Budget: 15000€

2003 – 5 months Trainee Engineer
Automobile equipment supplier, JOHNSON CONTROLS do Brasil (Porto-Alegre, BRAZIL)
In the production line of step motor (30000 motors by day), I improved manufacturing processes to increase the level of quality (ISO/TS 16949)
q Automation of the stopping device of the winders (Marsili)
q Improvement of the strength spot welding:
q Search of optimal conditions of force, intensity, time
q Modification of the lower electrode design
q Implementation of method statement
q Design of a tool for the electrode cleaning

2002 – 5 months Trainee Engineer
Thermoforming of packaging, VELFOR-EMBALLAGE (FRANCE)
I set up a data processing stock management for the raw material store
q Installation of a data processing stock management
q Training of the warehousemen to use this tool (5 people)
q Implementing new procedures
q Improvement of the order procedures
