BRD is part of Societe Generale Group since 1999 and operates as the 2nd largest Bank in Romania. With a network of more than 700 agencies all over the country and more than 7,000 employees, BRD doubled its size in less than 3 years.

The purchasing Direction as a sole dedicated entity was created in September 2004.

I joined the BRD puchasing team in February 2005 through a Volunteer program (French VIE). The team counts now 9 people devided in 3 domains of purchasing categories.

Purchasing Officer for the "Infrastructure and Banking technologies" domain

I lead a team of 3 buyers.

- Monetics (ATMs, POS, Cards and associated)
- Security and value transportation
- Technical Maintenance
- Office equipment (aside IT)
- Car fleet
- Telephony (fixed and mobile)

(VIE)Buyer at BRD Groupe Société Générale

Missions: Responsible for the whole Monetic Category (ATMs, Terminals and related, Cards), Responsible for Cash in transit category (Value transportation intern and outsourced) and responsible for the telephony category (Landlines and GSM services).
Expenses portfolio covered: more than 15MEuros/year.
- Setting up of RFQs, identification of new suppliers,negotiations on local and international scope.
- Helped to adapt the BRD purchasing structure to the Société Générale Group sourcing Policy.
- Upgraded the negotiation means for the whole BRD Purchasing Direction.

Jul2004/Feb2005
Internship at Société Générale Group Sourcing Division in Paris La Défense, France.
Missions: Buyer in the Electronic and means of Payment Dept (ATMs, Cards and Point of Sales).
- Setting up an RFQ for P.O.S for the Group’s foreign subsidiaries (mainly in Eastern Europe).
- Creation of a user guide aimed to the Group’s foreign subsidiaries in order to help them apply the new conditions negotiated at the Group’s level.
