The ESC Rouen is a Management Grande Ecole in France where I am employed as Associate Professor for Corporate Strategy & Entrepreneurship • Head of MSc course on development of International Enterprise. • Responsible for 20 full-time and part-time staff (academic & professional): recruitment and evaluation of teaching staff, negotiation of course contents & remuneration • Charged with restructuring and internationalizing the MSc programme (500 teaching hours): o Recruitment of internationally minded staff o Integration of entrepreneurial, innovative modules such as ‘Entrepreneurship in Europe’ and Female Entrepreneurship o Organization of an annual study trip abroad as well as an international research project and a team building weekend. • Representation of Rouen Business School and the postgraduate programmes at international and national recruitment fairs • Charged with student selection • Organisation of Comité de Perfectionnement (Expert Committee) to evaluate the appropriateness of the MSc programme • Responsible for establishing contacts with leading international companies such as Ferrero, Total, Valois, Interwise, Bosch, Würth AG, SAPP Maxims to negotiate participation in Master’s programme and internships • Charged with the organisation of entrepreneurial seminars with international entrepreneurs from Germany, England and France • Responsible for organising annual study visit to London, Brussels, Warsaw & Krakow (companies and institutions include City Corporation of London, Lloyds, Peoplesoft, Shell, GlaxoSmithKlineWellcome, ING, Auchan, Lafarge) Further responsibilities • Head of International Strategy, 2nd year of the ESC programme, in charge of a team of 3 lecturers (2002-2006) • Successfully restructured course contents and recruited part-time staff • Developed contacts with internationally active companies External responsibilities/memberships • Member of the EFMD taskforce on Entrepreneurship and Innovation • Official ESC representative for entrepreneurship at the European Council for Small Business and Entrepreneurship • Member of the British Academy of Management (BAM) • Member of the OPPE (Observatoire des Pratiques Pédagogiques en Entrepreneuriat, Observatory for pedagogical practices in Entrepreneurship) (France) • Member of the Scientific Committee of AIMS – Association Internationale de Management Stratégique, adhoc reviewer for entrepreneurship | |
