I am writing to ask you if you would kindly offer me work placement, internship in your business from October to December.
I am a French student from south west of France and I am keen to discover another country. My mother is teacher; my father is trader and technician for DeLaval Company (milking machine).
Since I was child I have enjoyed country side, I spent my childhood at my grand parents' home near an uncle’s farm which breeds beef and my uncle runs a machinery work company. I have a cousin who runs a swine and crop farm. During the weekend of my teenage years I helped my father repair the milking machine.
I am currently studying Agriculture and Management at LaSalle Beauvais in France, a five year course leading to an M.Sc. Before this I went to the Cannington Centre in Somerset for Land Based Studies, studying Food Technology, plus a course for a Higher National Diploma in food at the same time. This decision was to start the break of the familial cocoon and get fluent in English. During this course I had work experience in the dairy industry, BV Dairy ltd in Dorset making an overfilling evaluation. My last work placement was in a dairy farm of 90 cows and 100ha of crops. I am already going to Paraguay in a farm with 8000 beef during 3 months this summer. It is a farm which manages with genetic, embryo transfer on beef cattle and which put in place a beef ring sale.
I am very keen to get more practical skills from an internship in your business.
I am adaptable, friendly, and a hard worker. I am motivated by food technology manufacture in production sector in any types of food and farming. I am well organised and I speak quite good English which I am very keen to improve.
