The job of Field engineer is a very demanding position, mentally and physically. You should not count the time you are working and should always be ready for more.
To be more specific about the job, I am responsible of acquiring datas coming from Tools Downhole. Those are basically Direction and Inclination, Gamma Ray, Neutron (Porosity and Density), Sonic... Datas are vital to steer properly the well and follow the directionnal plan, but also to deliver accurate logs to the client and be as precise as possible on the formation we have been drilling.

Field Engineer in the Drilling & Measurement Segment. My location is ECUADOR(QUITO) About the D&M Segment: Our productive drilling helps you reach TD in less time, and optimize production by putting wells in the best place. *Fully rotating steerable systems drill more footage per day; and leave a smooth, high-quality borehole for easier cementing and casing running. *Real-time imaging technology detects sand-shale contacts and fluid boundaries; helps steer the wellbore within the reservoir to access attic oil and delay water cut. *High-quality measurements; interpreted in real time through Operation Support Centers-reduce technical risk and enable accurate formation evaluation. | |
