Sector: Multimedia - Internet

2002 - 2004 : Synopsys Inc.

Development Manager
Synopsys Inc. is a leading provider of Electronics Design Automation solutions. They provide products and services to design complex integrated circuits. The company is based in Mountain View, California, with over 3,000 employees all around the world. I worked with them for 12 years and experienced three acquisitions: the spin-off of COMPASS from VLSI Technology in 1992, and the acquisitions by Avant! Corp in 1997 and Synopsys Inc in 2002.

People Management:
Responsible for building and training a team of 7 experienced developers in India and France. Projects were brought to completion with quality and on schedule. Coached team through merger and layoff plans.

Program Management:
Merged both TS systems, as a result of the acquisition of Avant! by Synopsys. Defined SAP CRM requirements and specifications.
Sector: Electronics and microelectronics

2000 - 2002 : Synopsys Inc. (Avant! Corp.)

Web Developer
Web Development: Responsible for the Corporate web-based technical support solution (user profile, call tracking, test case upload, release download, search engine, FAQ, etc…). Defined requirements with US and Europe support engineers, then developed and productized the system. Endorsed by all support engineers and thousands of customers.
Sector: Electronics and microelectronics

1998 - 1999 : Synopsys Inc. (Avant! Corp.)

Application Consultant
Customer Support: My mission was to leverage customer support efficiency in Japan and Korea. I visited customers to define their requirements, joined the Japan TS team and worked as a liaison with R&D in Moscow. Mission helped increase customer trust and drove new business. This experience helped define a web-based technical support program endorsed by Corporate Marketing.
Sector: Electronics and microelectronics

1994 - 1998 : Synopsys Inc. (COMPASS D.A.)

Off-Shore Project Manager
Project Management: I supported the deployment of the corporate strategy by transferring and managing software projects to Moscow. As early adopters of the Off-Shoring, our challenge was to convince on-shore R&D groups to collaborate with remote people from a different culture. We made this program a success and drove its adoption by acting on our people’s perception, setting up yearly events with all actors, and developing a web-based collaboration platform. Maintenance efforts were transferred offshore and revenues grew as planned.
Sector: Electronics and microelectronics

1992 - 1994 : Synopsys Inc. (COMPASS D.A.)

Software Engineer
Software Development:
I was in charge of developing a solution to design programmable devices (FPGA). The solution was productized and provided an integrated prototyping environment to our existing customers. It exceeded expectations as it helped penetrate new accounts. As part of my responsibility, I demonstrated this solution to customers in Europe. I also decided to present a paper on programmable devices at the FCCM93 conference, California.

People Management:
Supervised 6 student projects.
