Calyon's Structured Finance Asia department is based in Hong Kong and with its main satellites in Singapore, Tokyo, Mumbai and Sydney.
The Natural Resources, Infrastructure and Power Finance Asia team arranges project financings for greenfield infrastructure projects (Power, Oil & Gas, Water Sector, Waste Management, Ports, Airports, toll-roads etc.). It also finances expansions, acquisitions of assets or of portfolios of assets and other brownfield infrastructure deals. In the natural resources space, it also provides Structured Commodity Financing and Reserve Based Lending solutions.
The Telecom Finance Asia team has coverage responsibility for Calyon in the Telecom and Media sector in the Asia Pacific Region. It directly handles the arranging of structured transactions in these sectors.
The Acquisition & Leveraged Finance Asia team provides leveraged financing, primarily to Financial Sponsors, but also to Corporates, to support their acquisitions in the Asia Pacific region.
The Real Estate & Hotels Asia team finances investments in the real estate, hotel and gaming sectors.
The Export & Trade Finance team works with ECAs and Multilaterals, providing importers and exporters with tailor made solutions.
The Transactional Commodity Finance team addresses the needs of major international traders and producers involved in commodities markets
Two other teams have pure coverage responsibilities on respectively the energy sector and financial sponsors.
We also have a dedicated structured finance Agency team that handles all relevant agency roles for structure finance transactions: facility agent, security agent etc.
As a rule of thumb, the minimum size for us to consider transactions is US$100mio of project deal size, and US$30mio of EBITDA for acquisition financing targets.
