Senior Consultant System Engineer

I currently work for Cisco as a Senior Consultant System Engineer and my main responsibilities are:
- Enabling Customer and local Sales-teams in value-added applications to sell-in & to sell-out.
- Partner recruitment and management of Partner ramp-up of expertise in Cisco solutions
- Personal engagements to win strategic, top-Ten customers in region; CIO-level
- Global events speaker (eg. ‘Cisco-Networkers’, EBC etc)
- Market intelligence to translate content & customer requirements to drive Business-Unit strategy (eg. regular business review w BU to drive customer-focused strategies of development)

My expertise is to formulate step-by-step solutions based on the complex fabric of network-based solutions and applications, including quality of service, encryption, content switching & distribution, security, data-center, voice and CRM -- Cisco Portfolio.
One of my unique attributes is the ‘Intelligent Network’ which has provided the foundation for new protocols in call-routing, call-center, video, SIP-protocols and real-time data-center redundancy and replication of data.

For Fiscal-year 2007:
- I took on additional geographical responsibility to cover Emerging countries, including CEE, RCIS, LATAM and MEA.
- Sales-acceleration to qualify, develop and convert 2007 pipe-line; resulting in growth against quota from 10% to 30% of the entire BU-revenue (all other things equal).
- Joint development and presentation of 2008-business-plan for the ‘Emerging-‘region, including local requirements to the Board of the Business-Unit at Cisco Head-Quarters in San Jose (John Hernandez) including 2008-pipeline and technical & support requirements from the BU.
- Obtained BU commitment to provide detailed roadmap of deliverables to achieve market penetration and increased market share (eg. road shows, select-partner certification, executive visits, exec-sponsorship etc)
- Major deals in Emerging region: deep and personal involvement in sales-strategy and customer-deals, presentation and workshop, ARAMCO in the Gulf, Saudi Telecom, STC in Egypt, Telmex in Mexico for a total of more than $US12 Millions dollars (software and hardware).

Previous experience at Cisco & GeoTel includes detailed technical account-development in Finance sector and Service-provider business in Europe.

Prject Manager

My team was in charge of designing, coding and testing a Service Node (Multi Service Platform) built by IBM to be deployed for South Western Bell Company in Texas.
This platform was designed for offering 800-number services and IVR-services based on Summa4 VCO and Direct-Talk technologies.
Test occurred on site in South Western Bell TRI laboratories based in Austin, Texas.

Major accomplishment was the acceptance by Southern Western Bell Lab in Austin of the IBM MSP platform after an end-to-end and interoperability- testing of the platform with the SBC intelligent-network and successfully completed within one week. I was single-handedly in charge of the test-plan, organization and execution on site, and as a result the customer satisfaction was raised to a level of ‘out-perform’.

Satellite Test Bed Manager

As an early engineer, I was part of the 40-member project-team in charge of the SKYBRIDGE Alcatel project (eg ATM-access on Broad-band via low-orbit Satellite and taking advantage of the CDMA wave shape. Also so I was assuming the responsibility of all activities and budget related to the end to end test. My Team was constitutes of 23 peoples, including budget controller, engineers and technical staff.

Technical Leader

In charge of the design, development, and testing of the 'US version of the HP Open-Call Media platform (first proto-type!). Responsible for on site testing in Nortel laboratories at Richardson, Texas.
