Hi,
Currently Project Engineer / Site Manager, I am in charge of the construction of hotels and resorts from the supply of wooden bungalows in Indonesia to their construction on site.
Engineer graduated from "Ecole Superieure du Bois" in France and master of project management from "Universite du Quebec en Outaouais" in Canada, this is my first position.
This job is great. Tourism is the only way for some countries to develop and the wooden bungalows are a good alternative for an environment friendly tourism. Morevover, this job allows me to stay a few month in different places, which gives time to know the country and the people.
The management of different teams is every day very interesting. You learn from their contact and their different cultures without any routine.
It's really satisfying to participate in the construction of luxury resorts. Indeed, the result should be perfect for brandnames such as Sofitel, Intercontinental or Four Seasons.

Euro Asia Management Group offers consulting and project management services oriented mainly towards tourism sector. Two of its subsidiaries are Euro Asia Timber Industry and Euro Asia Hotel Contract. The first provides engineered wooden kit bungalows, the second supplies Casegoods, Furniture, Fixtures and Equipments. Both provide the management of the installation and the construction on site of their products. My function is actually double as involved in both subsidiaries. The wooden kit bungalows are made in Indonesia to ease and accelerate the installation on site comparing with a standard product. As a project engineer, the first part of my function is to liaise with the client or architect to fit with his design requirements, then to manage the production to respectthe planning I made and make the quality of our products is the best. After we ship our products, as a site engineer, the second part of my job is to manage the local installation team to build and install the bungalows and/or the furniture. At this time, I participated in two main projects. Four Seasons Bora Bora for which we supplied and installed case goods and furniture. And, Yatule Beach Resort Fiji, for which we supplied and installed 26 bungalows (1400 m2). It's planned to extend it with 8 more bungalows (400 m2). | |
