Managing Director

I have a wealth of experience in administration and management up to Director level including logistic planning, training, budgetary control, line management, security, accounts, tender & PQQ documentation. I have documented systems for ISO9002, implemented change through IT systems and made operational changes to comply with government contract clauses.

MANAGEMENT:
As director of an M&E company for 13 years took that company through administrative and operational changes increasing t/o from £1m to £6m. Competing against multi national companies for lucrative local government contracts. Started a second electrical company from scratch to turnover £1m. In a consultant role have helped a number of small businesses set up, launch and coached them to success.

BUSINESS:
Budget setting and cash flow management, negotiating with suppliers and sub-contractors. Contract management & KPI. Cost reductions. Health and Safety and Quality Management. Fleet management. Accountancy and office management. Joint ventures. Marketing and advertising. Tender processing & PQQ.

SUPERVISORY SKILLS;
Employed 4 technical managers, 4 office staff and 52 mobile engineers. Liased with sub-contractors for facility management of lifts, catering equipment, fire and security systems, CCTV, standby generators, sewage disposal and minor building works.

ORGANISATION:
Conference organisation. Overseas visits. Briefings, meetings and presentations involving lecture facilities, script preparation and presentation material. Many meetings were at Senior Management, NATO and UN levels including one to the Prime Minister herself!

PLANNING:
Logistical support for overseas expeditions. Budget forecasting. Emergency and Disaster planning.
