Communications Consultant
Reporting to the head of Internal Communications, HR department.
Mission: Provide a service to the business by developing and implementing strategic internal communications solutions in line with business objectives.

Role:
• Provide advice and recommendations on internal communications ensuring alignment of internal and external messages.
• Internal promotion of business launches to ensure that employees champion Vodafone initiatives, such as:
Launch of Vodafone Mobile Broadband to market, release of Vodafone Music Store, or Vodafone website re-launch.
• Awareness programs to leverage Vodafone Foundation initiatives and Corporate Responsibility activities.
Special events organised to promote initiatives such as the mobiles recycling program – MobileMuster and Vodafone partnership with non-for-profit organisations.
• Manage the communications with employees by supporting leaders in identifying and writing messages as well as business updates.
• Develop and manage communications channels to reach different audiences.
This has involved searching information and writing articles for the weekly newsletter, contribution to intranet updates, organisation of text blasts and internal mini-road-shows.

Internal Communications Officer
Internal Communications Officer:
Reporting directly to the Human Resources Director, Asia.
Mission: build the regional internal communications and create a network of informed employees in Asia.

Regional role:
• Designed and launched the first quarterly regional business newsletter, distributed in 14 Asian countries and reaching over 3,000 readers.
This electronic newsletter quickly became the main vehicle to share information between affiliates.
• Produced the first annual regional brochure presenting the wide range of activities in Asia.
Initially aimed for internal audiences but soon adopted by the business development team as a powerful tool to explain our regional presence to potential partners.
• Designed communications strategies to promote HR initiatives and policy launches in Asia.
• Established communications procedures for Asian affiliates and created a communications network with internal communications points of contact in each office.
• Ensured affiliates’ compliance to graphical charters and group’s branding when developing local materials.
• Created training and induction kits to provide new employees with information about the company, its history, structure and strategy. Launched in English and translated to Asian languages.
• Organised regional seminars and conferences for the Asian management.
• Contributed to the company monthly global newsletter, hence building awareness around our activities in Asia and recognition for the work done by the regional teams.

Local role:
• Co-ordinated and promoted the internal employee’s survey. This included developing the communications strategy to encourage employees to complete the survey, results analysis, action plan co-ordination and socialisation of outputs with employees.
• Organised social and sports events for employees.
• Updated the Singapore website with corporate content.

• Co-ordination of on-line production with the creative and engineering departments until final delivery.

2003 - 2004 : GROUPE DANONE (Paris)

Internship
Assistant to Communications Project Manager
Sustainable Development Department.
Mission: bring to life a new social audit project and assist the sustainable development team in its communications needs.

Corporate Responsibility role:
• Launched a project aimed to ensure suppliers’ compliance to Fundamental Human Rights in emerging countries. This included organising social audits in countries around the globe, selecting critical suppliers and obtaining buy-in of internal stakeholders to proceed.
The audits results allowed the steering committee to draft a recommendation and adopt a work plan to implement systematic social audits to all suppliers.
• Created the internal communication kit to promote the social audit project among the purchasing and marketing teams.

Communications role:
• Contributed to the Annual Sustainable Development Report by researching information and writing the content related to the social audit project.
• Contributed to the conception of the first department’s newsletter.
