I have been engaged in projects in large multinational corporations where communications plays a major part in my roles. With accumulated experience in running projects, training, liaison with suppliers, public bodies, and corporate offices worldwide, client servicing (international/local and internal/external), and provision of central support service, I have a firm grasp of the essence of effective communication and its impact on performance of individuals/teams, and across teams. The industries I have worked for include education, publishing, large scale event organisation/production, international fine arts auctioneers, public utilities, and non-profit making organisations.

As an experienced manager with a mixed portfolio in education, training and communications, I would like to dedicate the upcoming years of her career in internal communication and organisational development.

Learning Centres Manager (Senior Executive Officer)
Collaboration with Capital Projects Team on new centres and offices establishment; responsible for office space allocation of the institute in nine major locations around Hong Kong; liaison with mother institution on compliance issues relating to central services.

Supervision of learning centres under her portfolio; liaison with divisions relating to central service support, teaching and student support at venues; staff training / recruitment / deployment; preparation of tenders for procurement; and office administration. Responsible for a Training Functional Group that sets up a learning system within the team for development of staff and to foster ownership of self development.

Promoted in May 2005. Received Performance Award.

Manager, Project Management Unit (PMU)
Management of a corporate-wide procurement training cum technical consultancy project at a listed public utility in Hong Kong. Setup of PMU; monitoring of project budget; liaised with the client on training and consultancy needs based on a developed competency framework; participated in the search of consultants and working with them for the delivery of tailor-made training programmes; maintained project website content and prepare course summaries and speaker biographies; travelled to UK for major events and scheduled review meetings.

Over 1,500 people were trained through this project.

Operations and Administration Manager
Held major responsibilities in corporate events and auctions/sale coordination. Promoted after two years reporting to the Chief Operating Officer – Asia on management of exhibiting tours, exhibitions and biannual sales, office operations and personnel administration. Managed office renovation and office moves. International coordination with departments, HQ (then in London) and worldwide offices on establishment/review of office and sale venue operational procedures.

Promoted in August 1998.
