Sector: Insurance

During this end of studies project, I automated the task of preparing misc computed banking activities. I designed, realized and tested a tool managing on-demand JOB requests (treatments on the mainframe).

The application has three-tier J2EE architecture. It allows employees to submit directly their requests (bounded by precise rights and validations). They can follow-up them and see the history of all executions.

JOBs parameters input forms (551 JOBs) are automatically managed thanks to XML models. Such innovation divided the workload of all these screens to only ~5%.

This training took place in context of the SICOV project (aiming at creating virtual organizations), in collaboration with the statistical research center CEPS/INSTEAD.

My work focused on the design and development of a system managing surveys. The tool is accessible both under a Lotus Notes client by surveyors and reserchers, and directly under Internet by surveyed companies.

It manages multilingual surveys and offers an effective way of entering responses. The programm also permit to generate and print the forms ready to be sent and to export the results to a spreadsheet.

Sector: Telecom - Internet Products and Services

This training has been realized at a French laboratory of the CNRS. It concerned the controling software of a powerfull mass spectrometer (7 specimens in the world, costs 2000 k€).This is mainly used for the isotopic analysis of geological or biological samples (moon rock, prehistoric pollen…)

I analyzed and documented the existing software written in Labview, a data-flow driven programming language. Then, I developed two additional modules:
• Calibration of the secondary ionic beam before each acquisition
• Preliminary scanning of the surface layer of each sample

• Self-tuition with the system Sun Solaris and the Labview language
• Technical documentation of the entire software
• Design and development of functions improving the process of automated acquisition
