Logistics Manager
- to control and report on the alloys logistics cost according to the budget (€15 Million) for distribution of two plants in Norway and one plant in France. It includes chartering break bulk vessels, container sea freight, warehousing, railways transportation, barging and trucking.

- Re-engineering the supply chain of alloys by transferring the stuffing of containers from plant to subcontracted warehouse. This shift created a central hub for container shipment strengthening control on lead time and material availability, monitoring inventories (buffer stock). It resulted also more cost efficient regarding bulk chartering and container seafreight.

- Design of an IT planning and scheduling tool to overcome the imperfection of the main systems in order to foster targets fulfilment between customer support and logistics by involving industrial department. Improvement on communication and reactivity regarding adjustment to demand variation and material shortage. Enhancement of material plan performance.

- define standard routes, efficient in all respect to volume, cost and lead time and justify deviation to standard route when occurred.

- programing deliveries to direct customers and to stock replenishment.

- chartering vessels from coaster to handymax on spot basis and under COA (Contract Of Affreightment) for alloys and ore.

- contracting COA with shipowner, launching tender bids on containers and trucking.

- reporting to General Manager Transport & Logistics and Sales VP.

2005 - 2006 : Uniross Batteries

Project Manager
- Implementation of international bar code standard GS1 EAN 128 by building traceability system in order to comply with new compulsory requirements and specifications due to new enforcements in legal environment. The system results in addition as a tool of flow analysis (database) to measure and foster performance improvement.


- Set up of “datalogger program”: measurement of the environmental impact on batteries during transportation and warehousing, it leads to development of worldwide logistics procedures and work instructions with quality department, in order to establish new processes, systems, and practises in alignment with product quality standard requirements by studying existing workflow processes, sequences of operations.

- to control and report on the logistics cost according to the budget (€ 3 Million) relating seafreight, airfreight and warehousing.

- ensure the supply of material and components from HK and mainland China to US and German subsidiaries by following the logistics and transport flows.

- reporting to Corporate Logistics Manager, Quality Manager and Board of Directors.

Manage cross functional projects to:

- implement a traceability system to track and trace all product from procurement, through manufacturing to customers. It covers a double aspect, firstly piloting the flow to optimise the global chain. Then, it also follows the need to abide by new EU Directive and regulations (ROHS: Restriction Of the use of certain Hazardous Substances and WEEE : Waste from Electrical and Electronic Equipment). It provided support to the running change of complying products.

- follow up the environmental warehousing and transportation conditions of batteries around the world to prevent from deterioration and malfunctions. Setting of alert levels to introduce corrective action on identified batch, define reefer transportation season and air con warehousing season . Make appropriate recommendations.
