I studied private law at the Universities of Lyon and Nantes for five years, with an advanced degree specializing in copyright law.
I always knew that I would work in a publishing house, and that’s why, after University, I enrolled in a professional training course for the publishing industry. The training centre included a small publishing company, and so the theory was put directly into practice because we published 6 books, a catalogue and a literary journal, gaining hands-on experience of the editorial process, production and followed through the publication of the books from beginning to end.
Then I was appointed by Éditions Denoël as Head of Audiovisual Rights, and co-responsible for Foreign and Subsidiary Rights, and I have been working for Denoël for almost 7 years now.
At 30, I’m now Head of the Rights Department (Foreign, Audiovisual and Subsidiary Rights). Concerning the foreign rights, I deal with Anglophone and Hispanophone countries, Germany, the Netherlands, Scandinavia, Greece and Israel, and World-wide for Denoël Graphic imprint.
