My experience to date has been constantly revolving around China and Asia and largely project-oriented, spanning the full operational to strategic range and servicing two major manufacturing industries, aerospace and automotive.

My goal is to bring large-scale projects to a successful end in China, leveraging on my past experience and acquired business, technical and language competencies.

China project Due Diligence chief coordinator
Coordinated the work of 8 finance, tax, legal, HR, operations, IT, environment and insurance work streams
Managed the data room and field operations: HC peak ca. 50p in one place, 200p mobilized over 15 weeks
Acted as a facilitator for all sort of communication between the Target, Volvo and adviser teams, including escalation to higher-level bodies and organization of ad-hoc meetings for decision-making
Fully administered the project as sole on-site permanent representative of AB Volvo: workplace, logistics, liaison with Target
Co-chaired weekly conference calls and participated in the preparation of high-level presentations
Supervised the global DD findings and issues’ timely reporting and the final deliverables’ consolidation

Launched and deployed the company’s strategic and operational BI activity on a leading best-in-class basis, focused on player movements, country/industry trends, to identify potentials for industrial cooperation on emerging markets (China, Russia, India) and to support ongoing projects (negotiation, business planning)
Member of the Group-level BI Network and invited guest speaker in other Group-level BI and Strategy bodies as acknowledged in-house China specialist

China project manager
Project to establish an industrial bridgehead in China creating 2 full value-chain truck JVs supported by technology licences
Mandated to drive the industrial project until “ready to implement” after mobilising all necessary resources
Steered all cross-company cross-divisional joint preoperational activities: product, purchasing, manufacturing, marketing & sales, HR, finance.
Managed the project in all its facets: established stable project working, governance and decision-making bodies; chaired project work meetings; developed project tools for progress and follow-up monitoring

2003 - 2004 : Snecma Services

Shop Visit deputy manager
Jointly administered the CFM56 engine maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) micro-BU in charge of Asia/Pacific (incl. JV) and military MRO and lease engine management
Acted as client interface and guarantor of engine on-time redelivery, steering and coordinating the engine MRO activity from engine off-wing to debt collection by leveraging on line organisations
Managed 5 contract managers and invoicing technicians directly and up to 18 people as interim (3 months), including engine and repair log quality technicians
Assigned to handle contracts from signature to debt recovery: client relationship management in collaboration with programme managers; profitability analysis; invoicing and debt collection
Assisted with client written business and technical communication, especially weekly repair progress reporting

2002 - 2003 : Sichuan Snecma

Industrialisation project manager
In charge of the CFM56-3 aircraft engine part cleaning and non-destructive testing (FPI NDT) capability project with setup of three industrial shops: specifications, design, sourcing, technical and commercial negotiations, project management, worksite follow-up, quality inspections, etc.
Managed a 10-person cross-department project team and hosted fortnightly meetings in Chinese
Worked in close cooperation with quality and other departments to prepare for FAA/CAAC certifications and pass other compulsory receptions and approvals
Functioned as unique interface with suppliers and subcontractors incl. billing, settlement, etc.
Responsible for budget monitoring and timetable follow-up
