I worked within the Copernic project which a government IT system reorganisation aimed to collect taxes more efficiently.

- Network administration, performance optimisation: 80 switches Enterasys and Alteon.
- System administration: 260 Linux Red Hat and HP-UX.
- Perl scripting and web Php / Mysql development.
- Writing of documentations and procedures.

Within a team of 12 individuals, monitoring of an international network (~1000 routers and LL) routing critical financial flows (Euronext/Liffe, Dubai stock exchanges, LCH-Clearnet, GL Trade).

- Monitoring (HPOV / CiscoWorks under Solaris) and troubleshooting a pan European Backbone.
- Writing incident reports for customers
- Installation of Cisco routers and switches
- Perl scripting under Linux

Implementation and maintenance, remotely or on site, of some companies networks (from 10 to 40 workstations) including servers, firewalls and backups.

- Building Linux firewalls (iptables) and tight up security using Snort, Freeswan(VPN), etc.
- Installation of Windows 2000 servers and Exchange 5.5
- Migration from Win2k/Exchange to Linux/Samba/Qmail
- Remote administration through vpn : Backups, troubleshooting

Internship then contract to define security, improve quality of service and way out public servers range of IP addresses to a new ISP.

- Network Administration: Windows NT, 2000 and Linux servers (web, rdbms...).
- Definition of a new architecture for the network (Private LAN / DMZ)
- Implementation of a firewall with Ipfilter / OpenBSD 2.9
- Installation of Windows 2k and Linux servers: DHCP, file, mail, DNS, domain controller.
