Highly experienced in PURCHASING, I built my core experience with an Automotive OEM famous for its excellence in procurement.
I then spent 3 years with McKinsey, working within the Purchasing Practice, where I had the opportunity to enhance my knowledge with a whole range of different businesses (process & assembly, chemical industry, retail, …) and situations (Post Merger Management, Global Sourcing, …), and to anchor this expertise in a solid ground of theoretical and process know-how.
I am now applying this experience at Compin, the leading Company in public transportation seating, where I am head of the purchasing department. Challenges I am facing are for instance:
- Bringing-up my team to the right level of purchasing expertise
- Reaching an ambitious cost-reduction target
- Speeding-up the use of sourcing in the Low Cost Countries
- Structuring the supplier rating methodology
- Improving the suppliers' quality and on-time delivery level
- Developing synergies with the newly acquired sister companies
- Preparing the supplier base for a new plant set-up abroad (Poland)
- ...
In addition, I am fluent in English, French, German and Italian, which is a great advantage in my business field.

COMPIN is the European leader for public transportation seats, such as trains or subways (for example, we are the ones providing the seats designed with Christian Lacroix for the new TGV interior).
Compin is facing high pressure on prices from its customers, as they have decided to ask for price decreases such as seen in the automotive industry. Therefore, it is my task to apply best-in-class purchasing methodologies to our middle-sized company, in order to achieve, with our suppliers, the expected improvements in cost reduction, delivery time, and quality level. As head of the purchasing department, challenges I am facing are for instance: - Bringing-up my team to the right level of purchasing expertise - Reaching an ambitious cost reduction target - Speeding-up the use of sourcing in the Low Cost Countries - Structuring the supplier rating methodology - Improving the suppliers' quality and on-time delivery level - Developing synergies with the newly acquired sister companies - Preparing the supplier base for a new plant set-up abroad (Poland) - ... |

I have served clients from retail, the chemicals, the automotive, the specialized consumer products industry, … . My project experience includes:
• Helping a European company in the assembly industry on a Global Sourcing initiative. The support consisted of developing the bidding process, bringing in the knowledge about the foreign countries, piloting the team and the international representatives, and making sure the used tools and methods were adapted to each country. • Identifying savings across all business units and sites for a near-food products company in a post-merger program. Savings where identified with the help of a client team that I had to supervise, allowing sustainable implementation of the applied methodology. • Capturing TCO reduction opportunities at a multinational chemicals company in a turn-around program. I managed a team on identifying saving opportunities in MRO, making sure the measures flow into a sustainable environment, and were properly tracked. |
