Since 2007: Université Toulouse 3 Paul Sabatier

PostDoc
Since September 2007, I am "Attaché Temporaire d'Enseignement et de Recherche" (ATER), i.e. a PostDoc which consists in teaching in the University while still having a scientific reasearch.

While I do my researches in the Signal, Image and Instrumentation team of the Laboratoire d'Astrophysique de Toulouse-Tarbes (Université Toulouse 3 - CNRS), I teach in the following programs (in L3 and M1 - notations refer to european LMD system):
-> Signal Processing,
-> Digital Signal Processors,
-> Data Classification,
-> Image Processing,
-> Initiation to Matlab.
Sector: Teaching

Since 2005: Université Paul SabatierToulouse 3

Teacher
I am currently teaching at the Université Paul Sabatier - Toulouse 3 (http://www.ups-tlse.fr/)in the following programs (notations refer to european LMD system) : M1 "Information, Signal, Image, Instrumentation", M1 "Electronic, Microelectronic, Micorsystems, Optronic and Microwaves", M1 "Engineering of the instrumentation, Sensors and Measurements"

My teaches concern:
-> Initiation to Matlab et Signal processing
-> Numerical filtering and application to DSP
-> Spectral Analysis
-> Modelization and estimation for signals and systems
-> Information theory and communications

Since 2004: Université Paul Sabatier Toulouse 3 - Observatoire Midi-Pyrénées

Ph. D. student
I work on Blind Source Separation (BSS). It consists in estimating a set of unknown sources from a set of observations resulting resulting from mixtures of these sources through unknown propagation channels.

BSS is particularly studied in e.g. Telecom, Music/Speech processing/Acoustic, Astrophysic.

My thesis director is Yannick Deville (http://www.ast.obs-mip.fr/deville). Our works concern Time-Frequency/Time-Scale BSS methods.

You will find more informations about BSS and some examples of applications on my personal page: www.ast.obs-mip.fr/puigt
Sector: Research and development

2003 - 2004 : Université Paul Sabatier

free-lance researcher
I first studied some linear instantaneous blind source separation methods, i.e. methods where mixtures are linear combinations of unknown sources. The mixing matrix is unknown too.

I then proposed some extensions applicable to more realistic mixtures involving attenuations and delays.

2002 : Centre Interprofessionnel des Vins du Roussillon (CIVR)

animateur
The CIVR (Interprofessional Center of the Wines of Roussillon http://www.vinsduroussillon.com) has the role of promoting the wines produced in the Pyrénées Orientales, France. During the summer 2002, this organization launched a promotion campaign of the Muscat of Rivesaltes called "Playa Muscat". The concept was that 8 young people (4 couples) make discover the Muscat to the tourists who came on the Catalan coast by the means of free tasting, in partnership with the restorers and owners of bars.

This experience, rich in meetings and lesson, also enabled me to learn how to appreciate the wine.
Sector: Marketing and Advertisement

2001 : Société Générale

trainee of holidays in a bank
During the summer 2001, I worked at the bank Société Générale, in Perpignan, France, as a trainee of holidays. I more particularly worked in the team "Moyens de Paiements" which treats the cases of customers in financial difficulty.

My job consisted in returning the decisions of the advisers customers in the data-processing network of the bank.
Sector: Finance

2000 : Alphéa

guitarist
"Alphea" was a band which wrote and performed musical shows.
In 2000, I was guitarist of the show "Intemporel". We were 8 musicians, 6 singers and 3 dancers.

For one of us, it was the beginning of a "real" musical career: he is now the pianist of a famous French singer (http://www.caliciuri.com/biolebart)!
Sector: Music

1998 - 2002 : Cours Privés

Teacher
When I was a student, I gave some Maths' and Physics' lessons to young students.

1998 - 1999 : Pagnon World Company ;-) (agriculture)

Farm labourer
During summers 1998 and 1999, I was employed in a farm.

This job told me why study. ;-)
