McGill’s Nanotools Microfab laboratory is a fabrication facility open to multi-disciplinary research initiatives spanning the life-sciences, sciences and engineering. While a wide array of substrate materials and sizes can be accommodated, our entire toolset is 150mm wafer compatible, thereby allowing for small volume prototyping as needed.
Managed and operated by a team of dedicated professionals with 35+ years of semiconductor industry experience, the team is currently focusing its efforts on the establishment of stable, repeatable and well-documented processes. Fab Team Mission: Identify, establish and promote those processes, services and activities which serve to further enhance the Microfab’s role as a key resource for multidisciplinary research initiatives. My missions are: - develop new based line process, document and ensure repeatability - Qualify new tool - qualify and document new full processes developed by student (microfluidics, cantiliver...) - help students and other users in their work in the microfab - research project 1: planar patch clamp device for neuro physics - research project 2: electrostatic microvalves for microfluidics VLSI - promote the microfab inside and outside the university |

Hybridization of III-V semiconductors onto ion-exchanged waveguides.
The project's aim was to hybridize III-V semiconductor amplifier monolithically with ion-exchanged waveguides. I was involved in the numerical simulation as well as the fabrication part. The fabrication was related to wafer bonding of semiconductor onto glass. |
