Stock Management, Planning and Allocation Developed and implemented new allocation systems in combination with tight/realistic planning and well monitored new entries to improve global revenues, stock and markdown levels. Increased sales/m2 from €1,900 to €2,100 and reduced total markdown level by 2% (company’s yearly sales operations exceeded €200 million)
Procurement, Sourcing and Supplier Alliances Major International Fashion Retailer (550 stores in 8 countries) : merged all buying and sourcing activities from 8 national purchasing teams into 1 European operation (1,900,000 pieces). Reduced number of suppliers from more than 100 to 30, created new alliances and implemented economies of scale. At the end of 1st fiscal year, gross margin was at 5% above average, turnover speed at 10% above department average, markdown at 14% vs. a €126 million revenues
Brands definition, Assortment and Product Development Developed a Concept and Presentation Manual, published regularly an internal Information Newsletter. Successfully implemented an international ‘concept to market’ strategy. Increased department turnover from €50 to €60 million (i.e. 31% above company average)
Advertising, Communication and Customer Trends Analysis Organized and launched internal and external (1.1 million Customers) communication campaigns (leaflets, local newspapers, radios).
