I am very passionate about the travel and tourism sector because it is regarded as one of the largest industries with extensive career opportunities.
My first interest is of working in a airport on the ground level where I can get regular customer contact, for example, Check-In Agent or Airline Reservations Agent.
My second preference is a career in the hotel industry. I have one-year experience of working within the well-known brand Holiday Inn as a Reservations Agent.

I have done a one-year Industrial Work Placement in Stratford Moat House/Holiday Inn. It is a 4 star hotel with 259 bedrooms, which caters for business and leisure guests. I worked in the Customer Sales Centre as a Reservations Agent. My responsibilities were to provide good customer service over the telephone, deal with complaints, increase bedroom sales and manage accommodation bookings for new arrivals. Organisational skills were essential as the whole hotel depending on the department. I was also promoted as Trainer to new employees to the department. | |
