In 2003, Luis A. Vázquez joined MX Telecom Ltd where he worked his way into Europe, America and Australia. His main functions since have been:
• Establishing and maintaining liaisons with the main mobile phone networks worldwide
• Analysing markets (economic, legal, marketing and social conditions)
• Public Relations/Networking
• Researching & creating databases/reports of services, products launched
• Identifying and getting in touch with potential new service/products suppliers of interest as well as spotting new areas with benefit potential
• Daily account management & customer support.
Since finishing his BSc Hons Business Admin in Wales (UK), he completed a summer program in the ESS at Groupe HEC, SDA Bocconi, and Wirtschaftsuniversitat Vienna, which gave him valuable insight into the e-business world. He is fortunate enough to have excellent numerical skills as well as strong language (Spanish, English and French) skills, which enables him to organise events and meetings effectively as well as to manage several sports teams.
He has completed a research project for his MSc Information Systems & Technology at City University, London, called “Technological Innovations; implications on the Latin American Society”.
While at City University he developed a Standalone Kiosk pilot presented and awarded by the London Tourism Board in 2004.
He used to work for a renowned Japanese video games company, SquareSoft, aka Square Enix, where he was main responsible for the launch of the very first Disney game for the PlayStation2 platform in the Spanish market, as shown in the credits of the aforementioned game, Kingdom Hearts.
He has created detailed internal reports such as the Video Games industry report in 2002 and on the Mobile Phone market for 2004-05.
He is also very tuned in regarding international affairs and he’s a regular reader of digests from organisations such as FAES or Global Research, which provide varied and extremely valuable worldwide reports.
