Lucas DELATTRE
Head of Communication, Institut Français de la Mode
PARIS - France

I was a journalist for more than ten years (1989-2001), spending eight years in Germany as foreign correspondent for the french press.
After working as a freelance journalist in Germany for various papers and media (L'Express, La Croix, La Tribune...), I was hired as the permanent correspondent for « Le Monde » in Bonn (1994-1997).
I joined the editorial staff of “Le Monde” in Paris in 1997 to cover European affairs and macro-economics.
In 2001, I was made assistant editor of "Monde des débats" in Paris, moving on to become head of the Paris bureau of the Council of Europe between 2002 and 2005.
I am currently in charge of Communications and Public relations for the Institut français de la mode (IFM).
The IFM is France’s fashion “grand école” (third level). Over the past twenty years over a thousand graduates have left the school to occupy high level positions in the fashion and design sector. It is also a think tank (marketing, human sciences, crossover disciplines) and an economic observatory with an international bent. It is an interesting place and unique of its type.
I am also currently very involved with relations with China for the IFM.
I regularly work as a consultant in addition to my work at the IFM.
