Richemont Risk Management & Audit is a Group function, reporting to the Audit Committee of the Compagnie Financière de Richemont Board, and is independent of all other functions. Its scope of activity includes the operations of Compagnie Financiere Richemont SA (a Swiss listed company) and all operating companies within the Group. Its main geographical areas of coverage are Europe, USA, Asia Pacific and Japan.

Its overall mission is to provide the Audit Committee and Management with independent assurance that risks with adverse impact on the achievement of Richemont objectives are promptly identified and adequately and effectively managed, with the aim to improve the organisation’s activities and control framework, protect and add shareholder value.

The department uses a risk-based approach to determine the audit plan. Its services include:
• Risk assessments
• Business process audits
• Project assurance reviews
• Special investigations (ad hoc, fraud, post-acquisitions, etc…)
• Compliance reviews

•Long term Internal audit project with German DAX30 company
•Several Internal audit projects (Risk assessment and management)
•Several SOX 404 projects readiness, testing and compliance
•Audits of annual and consolidated financial statements under German Commercial Code (HGB), US GAAP and IAS/IFRS


Clients of financial audit are mostly in the industrial sector (mainly metal industry) and TMT (Technologies Media and Telecommunication).

Financial audit engagement includes: year end audit as well as SOX compliance; Fraud assessment, Accounts cleaning, due diligence, limited review (e.g. Agreed upon procedures), quarterly audit.
