I recently joined Technip UK and started developing within this company through the Graduate Training Scheme. This scheme offers direct involvement in a wide range of disciplines with a view to developing highly skilled engineers and managers.
The GTS also provides selected graduates with suitable training and experience to qualify them for professional recognition from the appropriate organisation (ImechE).

Overview of the Project Engineer Training Scheme for the delivery of subsea projects:

- Project Management Team (North-Sea and Canada) 9 months.
- Offshore Engineering Division - Subsea Structures and Rigid Pipelines (Worldwide and North-Sea projects) 7 months.
- Business Development (North-Sea and Canada) 3 months.
- Marine Asset management (Worldwide) 2 months.

As a graduate engineer, I so far have been involved in projects related to design and installation of subsea rigid and flexible pipelines.

Sector: Petroleum - Exploration - Production - Refining

Short-term technician contract for a supplier of mobile technologies for the industry (Laser Scanning / WiFi / IP Phones).
My main task in this organisation was to design and develop a Mobile Data Acquisition Station for a major French retail organisation.

During the span of this project I had to collect customer needs and interpret them in order to build a physical prototype of the MDAS. As this type of activity was new to TIMCOD, I was also responsible for suppliers sourcing and negotiating.

This mission was personnally and professionally rewarding due to the versatility of the tasks undertaken and due to the discovery and implementation of new technologies.

Acting in western France, Timcod is a major regional actor in assisting retailers and logistic bases to manage their stock efficiently. It provides mobile technology solutions suitable for any business, regardless of size and application.
