John Wilson

With fifteen years of experience in human resources consultancy, John Wilson delivers a range of personnel and development services to the commercial and non-profit-making sectors. Small organisations are particularly in need of advice on personnel issues; larger organisations use his services to help them through organisational change and to deliver training programmes to line managers and supervisors.

As an accredited Investors in People adviser and assessor, John is able to use the framework of the National Standard as best practice to support organisational development. Amongst his toolkit are accreditations as an EQ-i Emotional Intelligence Practitioner and NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) Master Business Practitioner.

He is a chartered member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, holds an MBA from Manchester Business School and is a Certified Management Consultant with the Institute of Business Consulting. Prior to focusing on the field of Human Resources, John gained experience in various operational and consultancy roles, including periods as an inspector for the Michelin Guide and as a Business Development Manager for the Hospitality Training Foundation.

More recently, John has developed a business in coaching and therapy, using a combination of NLP tools, psychotherapeutic techniques and hypnotherapy. His initial hypnotherapy training was at the NLP Academy in London, where he gained an accreditation in Ericksonian Hypnotherapy, certified by the International Institute for Humanistic Neuro-Linguistic Psychology and Hypnosis. He then went on to train with the UK Academy of Therapeutic Arts and Sciences and gained his Hypnotherapy Professional Diploma and Diploma in Clinical and Advanced Hypnosis, accredited by the NCFE, the largest awarding body in the UK.

John has been privileged to further my NLP training with John Grinder, the co-founder of NLP, in the use of NLP techniques for healing. He has also gained a qualification as an NLP Coach, accredited by the NCFE, and a certificate in Hypnotic Coaching, giving him membership of the College of Hypnotic Coaching. Consequently, he is able to offer life-coaching and work-performance coaching in addition to clinical hypnosis.
