Managed several projects aiming at understanding the physiopathology of Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA), a neuromuscular disease characterized by degeneration of lower motor neurons. Acquired experience in project management, lab techniques and communication skills.

• Molecular and histological characterization of a new mouse model for SMA.
• Study of SMN protein isoforms in human cell lines and tissues and in cell cultures (cell lines and primary cultures). Characterization of new antibodies and transfection experiments.

Participation to international meetings.

Keywords: SMA, SMN, cellular and mouse models, neuromuscular system.
