Independent, non-profit, non-governmental organization dedicated to the idea that the transatlantic relationship between Canada and the United States, and the nations of Europe, is of critical importance to Canadians in cultural, security and economic terms. The Council's mandate is to promote a broader and deeper understanding of international peace and security issues relating to NATO. • Contributed to the development of several strategic planning sessions aimed at integrating the Council’s national and international communications plan (in both English and French) with various departments of the Government of Canada and NATO Headquarters in Brussels. • Developed and wrote a Marketing Plan and Communications Strategy in order to recruit student volunteers. • Helped organize a joint roundtable of the Atlantic Council of Canada with the Royal Canadian Military Institute in Toronto on the theme of "Canada and the New NATO in Afghanistan”, which was introduced by Mr. Jean Fournet, Assistant Secretary General for Public Diplomacy for NATO. • Represented the organization, along with the President and the Executive director, in Washington D.C. where were organized meetings with senior officials from the World Bank, the Canadian Embassy and a member of the U.S. Congress, regarding Canada’s commitment and contribution to international peace and security issues. • Translation of reports and NATO official documents from English into French. | |
