European Finance Manager
Invesco Continental Europe is the European division of the Amvescap Group which is one of the largest independent global investment managers with $ 2 billion in revenues and $ 400 billion of assets under management.

Responsibilities include :

- Represent Amvescap as a Partner to the company and a member of the European Executive Board

- Organize the Management Accounting function from defining the instruments to follow up the business up
to coordinating and leading the budget process:
* Recruit, assess and train the Finance team in line with the functional strategic plan for the region
* Harmonize the reporting process and tools (writing and distribution of an operational glossary of definitions)
* Plan and consolidate the regional reportings (monthly, quarterly and yearly results, quarterly forecasts and yearly budgets, ad-hoc profitability analysis) through the management of 25 staff spread all around Continental Europe

- Manage the legal entities for the region (€100m turnover, €10m net income, 250 staff, $20bn of assets under management):
* Produce and report the regional financial statements for the auditors and regulators (AMF, SEC)
* Prepare and implement the compliance with the Sarbanes Oxley and IFRS regulations
* Administer as a director the legal entities in France and Belgium including the creation from scratch of a European service centre in Belgium (€10m turnover, 30 staff)
* Manage and optimize the financial and tax flows for the region: improvement of the group net treasury, update of the group transfer pricing policy

- Define and implement the decision-making instruments for the Amvescap group Finance function and the General Management of the Continental Europe region:
* Initiate and set up a Balanced Score Card for Europe
* Analyze, implement and follow up a European cost-cutting programme (-30% or €15m reduction over 18 months)
* Contribute to the strategic evolution of the Finance function in the group: implementation of Oracle Financials on eight sites in Continental Europe and set up of a shared-service centre in Ireland for the accounts payable and treasury function for all Europe

Management Accountant
Saur International is the leading specialist in the international private management of public utilities with € 5 billion turnover. It is part of the French first world-wide building group, Bouygues (Turnover of € 20 billion).

Responsibilities include :

- Follow the inner management of the group branches, propose and implement any correction measures

- Manage the entire budget process (turnover of € 40 M) with permanent revaluation through internal audit
and forecast roll-over

- Participate in the commercial, financial, technical and legal development of the Vietnam, Reunion, Mayotte
and New Guinea branches and in the set up of a new branch in Senegal (turnover : € 50 million)

- Connect and advise the group branches with the international fund-raising institutions as well as the other
group shareholders


Key Achievements:

- Participated in the successful completion of a public bid for a Senegalese public company and development
projects:
* development of a financial model sustaining the valuation for a Senegalese public company on a fifteen-year period

- Proposed and implemented new management tools to follow up better the branch activities:
* improvement of reporting formats adding more value to the business

- Respected successfully all the allocated budgets and reduced significantly the operating costs

Financial Analyst
Saur UK is the head office in charge of the British activities for Saur International : water distribution, public utilities management, works. The ten branches are producing a turnover of € 300m.


Achievements:

- Managed and modernised the group net treasury (€ 200m) through the implementation of new financial formats and group procedures

- Made important decisions for the group with the different financial operators, in order to enhance and strengthen the group financial structure

- Analysed, underlined the strategic trends of the water activity sector, participated in development projects such as public bids

- Set up and implemented financial and technical ratios, bringing into relief the state of competitiveness of the different activities of the group, and subsequently used as tools for internal audit

- Consolidated the financial results of the groups 10 branches and improved the management schedules transmitted to the head office in Paris
