Isabelle is a native French who moved to the US to broaden her professional horizon.

Isabelle is currently a PhD candidate, senior researcher, and assistant director of the Syracuse Information Systems Evaluation (SISE) project at the iSchool at Syracuse University.

Isabelle's interest in research lies foremost in the areas of information security governance, leadership and behavioral issues in Information Systems (IS) specifically related to IS security. Her areas of expertise are information security governance, socio-technical security assessment, project management, enterprise-wide risk management and innovation.

PhD Candidate
Isabelle has a keen interest in behavioral and societal issues related to information systems in organizations.

For her dissertation, Isabelle is interested in the role of leadership in information security governance, especially as it pertains to the role of women as security leaders. Isabelle examines the challenges women information security leaders face at the workplace as well as the qualities that have enabled these women to become prominent leaders in a typically male-dominated environment.

Project Manager
•Project Manager of project entitled “Information Technology Workforce (ITWF): Culture Clash! The Adverse Effects of IT Occupational Subculture on Formative Work Experiences of IT Students.”
Supervise Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) students, develop web-based surveys, carry out data collection (focus groups and web-based surveys), and analysis, and contribute to results’ reports and conference papers. Process of developing a workshop to disseminate our results.

•Project Manager of project entitled “Behavioral Information Security (BISec): The Politics, Motivation, and Ethics of Information Security in Work Organizations.”
Participated in research protocols development, data collection (interviews, direct observations, surveys) and analysis and dissemination of research results. Supervised undergraduate and graduate students. Reported results in the form of reports and conference papers.

•Project Manager of Central New York Secure Business Initiative (CNY-SBI) conducted during summer 2004.
Managed a team of eight persons for a three-month project financed by New York State to help organizations in CNY enhance their information security. Part of the early team that established contracts with twelve organizations. Was the main point of contact between our team and the participating organizations; and between the funding agency and our team. Participated in all the phases of the project: from protocol development to presenting the results and recommendations to the organizations. Prioritized and generated results to achieve organizational objectives within time and budgetary expectations.
