I am looking for technical missions of studies of engineering, research and development, in the fields of chemistry and process industry. With the combination of my M.Sc in Chemistry and Chemical Engineering I have a good knowledge in various aspects of these fields. My relevant experience includes almost 2 years in the Desulphurization unit for gas and water treatment at the largest coal-fired power plant in France where I improved the reliability and the performance of this process. I gained extensive experience in an environmental laboratory, maintenance work, and process improvement.

Resident expert in the installation of the Flue Gas Desulphurisation (FGD) unit for gas and water treatment at the largest coal-fired power plant in France
Investigations to improve the reliability and the performance of FGD units Evaluated the pH adjustment levels in the scrubber which enhanced the degree of desulphurisation by 2% Determined propositions to improve the availability of centrifuges used for dehydrated gypsum to avoid increased scrubber density which leads to Unit closures saving 400 k Participated in studies to re-inject the sludge from the waste water treatment in the gypsum process: profits generated by the mixing of sludge could reach 300 k/year Developed maintenance plan for the main equipment of the desulphurisation process to ensure reliability of the units by using the FMECA method Created an internet site: http://amdec.fmeca.free.fr Researched to maintain the nitrate threshold in effluent from waste water treatment Researched major processes suitable to reduce the concentration of nitrate Identified the origin of the nitrate by using isotope ratio mass which resulted in avoiding the construction of a new step treatment Unit saving 65 k/year Located the biological link between the presence of buffer additives in the scrubber that enhance the degree of desulphurisation and the reduction of the quantity of nitrate in water which helped to reduce capital investment to respect environmental regulations Developed HPLC methods to quantify nitrates in water |
