[02/2006] Manager of the Core Labs unit (approx. 15 people). This consists in Core Engineering, HW Quality Assurance and HW Enabling. Our group works closely with key vendors to improve Mandriva Linux hardware support: AMD, Intel, ATI, nVidia, Dell, HP, IBM, Sun, etc. [01/2004] Manager of the Core Engineering team (approx. 5 people). The group is in charge of low-level projects at Mandriva: compilation toolchain, localisation and internationalisation, kernel, Linux Standard Base (LSB), ports to non-x86 architectures. Maintainer of the compilation toolchain (binutils, gcc, glibc). Architect and lead developer of Mandriva Linux ports (ia64, ppc64, x86_64). This includes building the distribution from the ground up: - software porting to fix issues related to 64-bit, ISO C or ISO C++ - solutions and software development, e.g. multiarch, nspluginwrapper - adapt the installer to suit the new architecture needs - creation of the ISOs (10+ distributions for various architectures) | |
