Amadeus is one of the world’s three main global distribution systems (GDS) and is the provider of technology solutions.

My job description:

Pricing team since April 2004: Pricing analyst

Expertise in international passenger fare construction and interpretation of IATA Tariff regulations.
Carriers claim handling.
Participation in preparation of Amadeus Pricing User Guide: System Processing Manual.
Interface and communicate with Development.
Perform testing and Sign-off of functional specifications related to IATA and carriers Mileage exceptions.
Provide functional expertise and support during and after implementation.
Identify customer specific needs and requirements in term of Pricing issue.
Analysis of IATA documentation (Passenger Air Tariff and Composite Resolution Manual)

Rules team from October 1998 to March 2004: Data analyst

Ensure that fare quotations match the rules conditions and carriers intention.
I was in daily contact with providers as SITA/ATPCO and Airlines in order to update the Amadeus Database.

This work has necessitated daily contact with many end-users and airlines.
This work has given me the opportunity to train staff in India for the Encoded Rules Product.

In addition, I was the Quality Coordinator during of the team to ensure that the daily work follows the Amadeus Quality Policy.
Creation and maintenance of procedures and info pages.
Internal and external audits are performed each year in order to check the Quality within the department.
