I started out my career in the translation business with a university level education specialising in languages for special purposes, i.e., translation and interpreting.
The next step was to work as a software tester. This eventually led to my contact with Heitmann Nordic in Aarhus Denmark (no longer exists - was acquired by L&H Translations -> Mendez Group -> Bowne Global Solutions -> and is now part of Lionbridge).
There I worked as translator/localizer and slowly moved into project management. I was lent to Mendez Nederland, where I worked as PM on the translation of Microsoft Office XP into Dutch. My work areas was MS WORD, EXCEL, and FRONTPAGE and as standin on the core components of Office.
