- Manage the purchasing team ensuring “best practice” policy and procedures are implemented
- Manage the external spend on Materials and services, maximising the benefits of CUK’s volume expenditure
- Reduce CUK’s supplier base by setting up and managing a robust, low risk supply chain
- Achieve year on year cost savings on external purchase in line with Canberra’s global target
- Establish clear, fair and profitable trading terms and conditions with the suppliers
- Work with the manufacturing group to reduce stock levels through improved supplier management
- Work with the Project management Group to manage the procurement of materials and services to meet the requirement of key customer contracts, ensuring best value for money
- Draft tender enquiries where appropriate to ensure CUK’s suppliers remain commercially competitive
- Ensure all materials and services are delivered in a timely manner to meet business requirements
- Work with corporate purchasing team to develop a global supplier base and common practices
- Establish systems that identify opportunities for performance improvement either through efficiencies, added value service or cost reduction
- Ensure all appropriate records and files of purchasing activities are maintained
- Mentor and develop staff within the purchasing team improving overall efficiency

GADS is one of the major actors of maintenance on French nuclear power plants (Site clean-up business unit)
• Develop and implement new purchasing and contract management instructions, policies, and procedures in the frame of the ISO certification process
• Ensure compliance with the Business Units requirements: diffusion of the purchasing framework agreements, monitoring of segmented
purchase expenses, monitoring of purchase performances and reporting of correspondent data and indicators (BU and GADS Management).
