Graduate Engineer of the Ecole des Mines de Paris (1984 - 1987), I completed my education in serving as a Research Fellow at the California Institute of Technology (1987 - 1989).
I have followed a carrier in the industry, first automotive and today in heavy metallurgy at Arcelor Mittal.
ArcelorMittal is the world's number one steel company, with 310,000 employees in more than 60 countries. It has led the consolidation of the world steel industry and today ranks as the only truly global steelmaker.
ArcelorMittal is the leader in all major global markets, including automotive, construction, household appliances and packaging. The Group leads in R&D and technology, holds sizeable captive supplies of raw materials and operates extensive distribution networks.
Its industrial presence in Europe, Asia, Africa and America gives the Group exposure to all the key steel markets, from emerging to mature. ArcelorMittal will be looking to develop positions in the high-growth Chinese and Indian markets.
ArcelorMittal key financials for 2007 show revenues of US$ 105.2 billion, with a crude steel production of 116 million tonnes, representing around 10% of world steel output.
I practice Supplier Relation Management following four principles :
- Promotion of Result Orientation
- Long Term Partnership Orientations
- Team Spirit : the purchasing function exists to support business development and interacts with other functions
- Strict Ethical values, in people management as well as Supplier Relations.
I enjoy working in an international environment, to create synergies between plants or teams in various countries to achieve ambitious results.
