Responsibilities:
# Management of standardization projects in the fields of quality management, quality systems, quality assurance, and generic supporting technologies, at the national and international level.

This included:
- The initiation, development and project management of quality and other management systems (e.g. "integrated management systems", "corporate social responsibility") projects, and related programs of work
- Developing consensus amongst a wide variety of stakeholders (government, industry, consumers, small businesses etc.)
- Researching, initiating and developing national quality standards and supporting documents.
- Providing briefings to senior managers in AFNOR on management systems standardization, prior to high level international meetings
- Tracking of revenues and the development of client portfolios
- Conducting opportunity studies for new potential products
- Evaluating the political, technical and economic aspects of the quality, and other management systems, fields and professions

# Secretary of the International Organization for Standardization's Technical Committee no. 176, Sub-Committee no. 1 (ISO/TC 176/SC1) “Quality Concepts and Terminology”.

- Developing a vision and strategic plans for the sub-committee, and for ISO/TC 176 itself
- Managing the initiation, development, and publication of standards and related documents within the sub-committee
- Managing the participation of the national standards bodies that are a member of the sub-committee, and encouraging other countries to join the sub-committee
- Managing liaisons with a wide variety of ISO and IEC technical committees and other international standardization organizations
- Developing consensus among participating stakeholders
- Planning the facilities, support, sponsorship and social activities of the sub-committee meetings, and of subordinate working group meetings (and for TC 176 itself)
- Responsible for the selection and appointment of project leaders and key experts to projects, and for providing them with the necessary support to perform their tasks.

- Promotion of agreed French strategies to ISO/TC 176
- Monitoring and management of French delegation, and individual delegate, performance against their briefings
- Advising the delegation on available strategies for resolving unexpected issues

- The national mirror committee to TC176
- The national committee on risk assessment
- The national oversight committee on management systems standardization (this committee is changed with ensuring that there is a coherent and consistent national approach to MSS) 2000
