Manager of the Methodology & Process Engineering Team (4 Engineers)

Duties: In charge of the drafting of the deployment methodology for massive infrastructure and software deployment projects for the EDF Information System strategic evolutions. The mission can be defined as the industrialization of deployment processes and can be detailed as follow:
- Help the client to express his business needs, draft the technical specifications of the IT solution and challenge them with the deployment constraints (schedule, financial resources, legal deadlines…),
- Make the IT solution meet the functional and organizational needs,
- Process optimization according to the constraints (costs, existing IT architecture, services organization, available human resources…),
- Experience feedback, process optimization, deployment supervising and support (2nd or 3rd level support).

Projects Completed:
- APR project: Following the creation of the Sales & Marketing Division of EDF to open the French electricity market to other companies, the project APR consists in the deployment of its IT architecture, mixing business units and call centers through the whole country (250 call centers, 16’000 workstations and servers).
- DIRIM 2 project: Deployment of 9’000 workstations and 100 servers Windows 2000 for the EDF real estate direction.
- OITBC BEM Project: Deployment of the DHCP function on 6’000 workstations and 400 servers.

IT System Engineer

Duties: Setting-up of a Radia 3.x architecture.
- Installation and settings of the servers,
- Setting-up of the production model.
Software packaging for up to 7’000 workstations, with Radia 3.x tool.
- Drafting of package notices,
- Realization of Perl-scripts,
- Handling of the registry,
- Use and setting-up of MSI packages,
- Realization of installation and operation tests

Environment: Windows 2000, Novadigm Radia 3.x, Microsoft Installer (MSI), Perl, VmWare 4.0.

Software Quality Assurance Engineer

Duties: Test and qualification of software packages for further installation on up to 50’000 workstations.
- Handling of different systems, software and architectures,
- Installation and configuration of systems and testing tools to qualify,
- Drafting of tests plans,
- Drafting of incident tickets,
- Drafting of qualifying statement, validating the package and furthermore authorizing its deployment depending on the test results.

Environment: Windows NT & 2000, Unix (AIX), Novell Netware 4.11, Oracle 8i, Lotus Notes 5x, SMS.

IT System Engineer Trainee

Duties: In charge of the integration study, in the internal IT service, of a user-centralized management tool: BMC Control SA.
Performed business requirements analysis, drafted global IT solution and detailed technical specification statements to eventually set-up a test-platform for this software. Drafted an installation guide and an instruction manual.
