Secure the sky:
Guarantee the display of aircraft in case of a complete failure of the main radar data processing system; install and commission the back-up radar data processing system.
Single European sky:
Replace and improve obsolete Air Traffic Control system in Switzerland; increase traffic capacity, reduce controller workload, open and flexible product.
New markets:
Implement back office infrastructure to compete with Polish, Bulgarian and Romanian Telecom markets. Provide local marketing and sales people an access to Nortel Networks world wide resources: telephony, intranet, internal systems, emails, conference calls.
Worldwide show:
Demonstrate Nortel leadership and image during the 1999 International Telecoms Forum in Geneva; implement complex and robust IT environment to support Nortel resources available world wide 24/7.
