Mechanical Project Leader

Function:
- responsible for all mechanical activities of complete ranges of LCD TV sets, from development phase to industrialization in 3 manufacturing sites
Main tasks:
- technical supervision of the LCD TV sets mechanical development:
- help to creation, innovation, find solutions on plastic parts, metals, electronic boards, wiring & packaging
- attend Design, FMEA and Benchmark analysis workshops
- write Schedule of Conditions and technical documentation
- schedule and conduct project post-mortem activities to improve process and design of new projects

- international projects management, in relation with Design, Marketing, Purchasing and Industrialization teams:
- ensure good interface & coordination between development center in Singapore and manufacturing sites in Europe (France, Poland & Hungary)
- analyse and control of the product maturity, planning and industrialization phase
- define the quality test plan
- supervise our mechanical suppliers of plastics, metals and packaging
- supervision of 2 other staff members since 2006
- report to the management, on a weekly base

Significant Achievements:
- Project Management tools creation: tool planning, quality test plan, maturity follow-up
- mechanical development and industrialization of 3 complete ranges of LCD products (=> 5 millions sets produced in 2 years)
- reduction of product creation duration (from 13 to 9 months)
- material cost reduction, technical supervision of transfer:
- of our tooling & supply base to China: technical discussions, trials attendance, tool and part release on site
- of the final assembly to Hungary: evaluation, support to production starts, training & transfer of competences
