Denis Lafeuille

Since 2003, Dr Denis M. Lafeuille is Consultant in international partnering and technology transfer, and has been active for example in food industry, information and communication tehcnologies and nanotechnologies.

From 1987 to 2002, Dr Lafeuille has been working at the Canadian embassy in Paris as Adviser for Technology Exchanges, in charge of facilitating technology transfers and partnerings between Canadian and French companies or research labs. He was for example at the origine of the IST-EC initiative www.ist-ec.org.

In the 80s, he has been implicated in the initiation and launching of a French government subsidies system, which helps the companies work on specific industrial projects in cooperation with the best research laboratories, by hiring a young scientist or engineer on the project, and getting him/her present a PhD thesis at its end; the name of this system is “Conventions CIFRE” (see: http://www.anrt.asso.fr/index.jsp, CIFRE section).

After his engineering degree (Ecole Supérieure de Physique et Chimie de Paris), and his PhD and MBA degrees, he was in the 70s leader of an applied research group at the wellknown LETI microelectronics lab (Grenoble lab belonging to French Atomic Energy Commission "CEA"), and then advisor for tehnology tranfer at the direction of this laboratory.
