The ADIVALOR company (management of the agricultural waste disposal), joined the FRCARA (Rhone-Alps Farmers' Association) in order to set up the last free collection of unusable pesticides in the Rhone-Alps region. We were solicited by Cédric Marchand, the FRCARA environmental issues representative, to:

• Evaluate the effectiveness of the unusable pesticides’ disposal in Rhone-Alps.
• Survey farmers over 19 sites to estimate the unusable pesticide collected quantity.
• Work out communication strategy and tools with the aim to increase public awareness and participation rate for the future disposals.
• Present our report at the Rhone Farmers' Association head office.

• Set up and monitoring of trials in field crops or greenhouses (vine, arboriculture and vegetables), in partnership with seed or pesticide firms (Monsanto, Bayer).
• In collaboration with the ARVALIS Institute (French technical organization for cereals and fodder), set up of a network of trials and monitoring of plots in the Isère department, within the framework of regional strategies of corn weeding, following the ban on atrazine in 2003.
• Writing of a report: Weeding in corn without atrazine.
