Since May 2007, I am giving one-to-one English lessons, mostly to adults wishing to improve their conversational skills or to prepare an interview in English.

My mission is to help him catch up with the level of English and Spanish he should have and to prepare him for the French equivalent to GCSE.

Translator

From the beginning of April until the end of June 2007, I did a work experience as a translator in JFR 1cheval.com, a small company aiming at helping the creation of relationships between professionals of the horse and horse lovers.
My task was to translate the website into English and Spanish.

In July and August 2006, I was a waitress in Terra Nova Cafe, Roath Park Lake, Cardiff.
My tasks included: washing up, food preparation (dishes, sandwiches and beverages), service and check out.
Roath Park Lake being a touristy place in Cardiff, I had to deal with customers of various nationalities and I was glad to see that my language skills in French, Spanish and Italian proved to be useful.

Catering assistant

From November 2005 to May 2006, I worked as a catering assistant at the food stand in the Millenium Stadium, Cardiff.
Selling beverages and food in a busy environment, I had to be very efficient and reactive.
This job helped me to improve my self-confidence in dealing with customers in English.

In August 2005, I worked as a cashier in the Auxonne branch of the Credit Agricole bank.
My main responsibity was to provide a friendly and efficient customer service: welcoming the clients, helping them to use the cash machines, providing information about their account, making appointements with the financial consultants etc.
My responsibilities also included: dealing with transactions (withdrawal, transfer, cheque and cash deposit) and delivering cheque books and credits cards.

In July 2005, I worked as a counter clerk in La Poste, in Genlis (France).
La Poste is both a post office and a bank, so my responsibilities included both the general sales (mailing products and services) and the transactions (withdrawals, transfers, cheque and cash deposits, poviding information about the accounts).

From October 2004 to March 2005, I worked as a volunteer at the Refugee Centre of Nantes (France).
I was in charge of a 14 year old refugee, Prroviding a one-to-one support, teaching language skills and helping with homework.

In August 2004, I worked in an humanitarian workcamp in Italy (Dalmine), as a volunteer.
Our mission was to clean up the bed of a river and to do activities with the children of the local youth centre.
